Homework Support Group Program
As we are always looking for new ways to better serve our families, we will soon be rolling out a new program, Bowie 1st-6th grade Homework Support Group. Separate from our individualized, one-to-one tutoring instruction, each group-hour would benefit those who only need homework supervision. Students will have a concentrated hour to work on homework, allowing more quality family time in the evening. We will do our best to help students accomplish as much as possible while they are here. Imagine a stress-free evening, going home each day with your child’s homework already completed! Each session will include supervising homework assignments, proofing, and checking for errors in the student’s work, as well as help with organizational skill strategies. Should any time be left in the hour we will move on to enrichment support in either reading comprehension or math.
- The start of this program will be the week of January 2, 2024 and will run through the end of May. Beginning in the Academic year 24-25, this program will run from August through May.
- Day/Time options: Monday through Thursday, 3:00-4:00 and/or 4:00-5:00.
- Two Age Groups:
- Group 1 – Grades 1-3
- Group 2 – Grades 4-6
- Each group will consist of a minimum of two and a maximum of five students.
- One Supervising Tutor per group who will support both Language Arts and Math.
- Cost: $40 per session or discounted $35 per session if the student is also tutoring at least one 1-1 hour during the week.
- Grade level enrichment support work will be provided for each student in either Language Arts or math once homework is completed.
- Sessions may be cancelled with a 24-hour notice.
