Molly Bowie Cook

Head of Tutorial Programs

University of Memphis- BS in Education and minor in Art. Loves working along side her sister, Sherri Spain, in fulfilling the Bowie dream created by her father and brother, 20 years ago. Outside of Bowie, she is more than likely to be enjoying family and the joys of having two granddaughters.

Her favorite hobby is napping, though she also enjoys reading novels and geocaching when the weather is nice.

Kristen Bergstein

She’s originally from Pittsburgh and loves to read in her free time, especially with her kitten, Gus, on her lap.

Kim Brown

She loves to worship God, spend time with family, teach, and participate in creative and performing arts.

George Davies

University of Tennessee, Knoxville- BS in Chemistry and Biological Sciences; Pursuing Doctorate in Medicine at University of Tennessee Health Science Center

He marched as a Saxophone player in the Inaugural Parade of President Obama with the Pride of the Southland Marching Band.

Adam Davis

University of Mississippi- BA in Liberal Arts, with minors in English, History, and Sociology.

His favorite sports teams are the Grizzlies and the Ole Miss Rebels. He enjoys going to any kind of sporting event, and often goes to Grizzlies games. He loves to play pool, and played competitively from 13 years old until he graduated college. He has an extremely spoiled dog named Max.

Robbie Davis

University of Memphis- BA in History with a minor in German

He studied in the Czech Republic and Germany. He loves to read and play guitar.

Andrew Gafford

University of Memphis- BA in Communications/Concentration in Film and Video Production; Currently seeking BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Memphis

His hobbies include playing and watching basketball (Go Spurs, Go!), playing board games, backpacking, and spending time with his family.

Suzanne Harvey

University of Mississippi - BA in English Education; Currently pursuing a Masters in English Literature at the University of Memphis.

Her senior year she played the role of "Sharpay" in High School Musical, and Disney invited their cast to go to Disney World and perform their show on one of their stages.

Casey Hawes

University of Memphis- BA in History, Minor in English

She enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with her husband and son. She also loves to bake and cook.

Gil Maneclang

Loves MS state football, playing disc golf, hiking with his wife Anna, and walking his dogs through Shelby Farms.

Laren McCormack

Lipscomb University- BS in Computer Science and Music Performance; Minor in Pure Mathematics and Pure Science; Mdiv in Ministry and Theology

She enjoys reading with a cup of tea on her balcony while God's beauty is on display around her. When she's not reading, she can be found creating her own beauty through painting, knitting, crocheting, or whatever other new art style she decides to try.

Doug Nanney

If there isn't a college football game or a classic movie on, he enjoys reading a good whodunnit mystery.

Josh Nave

Lee University- BA in Spanish and Communicates; Louisiana State University- MA in Hispanic Studies

He's visited 13 countries! He also traveled through central and southern Mexico for a summer Fulbright-Hays project, and he lived in Madrid, Spain for two years where he taught at a bilingual elementary school. He currently works as a university Spanish instructor.

Aaron Nichols

University of Memphis- BA in Foreign Languages (Spanish/French); minor in Communications

He likes to run, take his bike out on the green line, and watch movies.

Amanda Novak

University of Memphis- BA in Communications; MS in Health Promotion

Amanda was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She spends most of her free time with her daughter in search of the best park slide in the city. She also loves to travel, especially anywhere with mountains and good ski slopes. Go Cubs Go!

Kwame Nuako

University of Notre Dame- BA in Anthropology; University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine- Current Medical Student

He's from Martin, TN. His name means "boy born on Saturday". He's been to all 50 states.

Leslie Pace

University of Memphis- BS in Biological Engineering; Currently pursuing a Masters in Biomedical Engineering

She has a cat named Ronald 'Fleasley' because she's slightly obsessed with Harry Potter. She loves to paint. She also visited five countries one summer with her best friend while studying abroad- her favorite was Ireland.

Nettie Parr

Arkansas Tech University- BS in Psychology; Pursuing Master's in Educational Leadership

She's a part of a soul and R&B band called "The Players" and a jazz/funk band called "Outer Ring". The band has played for the cast of "The Help". She's a huge fan of Memphis music, including: Hi Records, Stax, and Royal Studios. She loves to sing, play guitar, paint, and write music.

Jason Rice

University of Memphis- BA in English and Creative Writing

Before beginning his teaching career at the Bowie Center, he played music on Beale Street. He still plays music regularly with Faux Killas, an original rock and roll band here in town. He also very much enjoys spending time with his niece and nephew!

Laura Rice

She is an aspiring gardener, a lover of birds, and has a weakness for karaoke. Her perfect weekend would include camping or fishing with her husband and son, relaxing by a campfire.

Briana Scott

University of Memphis- BS in Mathematical Sciences; BA in Sociology

She's the Women's Program Director of STS Enterprise, a leadership development program for high school students. Also, she LOVES Penguins.

Meredith Serna

University of Memphis- BFA in Theatre with a concentration in Scenic Design and Technology

She enjoys making wedding cakes, playing piano, and going to the gym. She loves her Clemson Tigers! She also loves history and reads constantly.

Samantha Shockey

She loves planting/potting flowers.

Sara Simpson

University of Memphis- BA in Elem. Education (K-6) and Special Education (K-12); University of Texas in Arlington- MA in Science Education

She would be a great addition to a trivia team, especially one that needs a pop culture member. She teachers herself German on DuoLingo and reads books!

Rachel Stein

When she's not studying for pharmacy school exams, she loves to watch Masterchef Australia, to bake, and to cook for my friends and family.

Sadie Stodden

University of Memphis- BA in Foreign Language and Literature: Concentrations in Spanish and Portuguese

She is a fair-weather cyclist who loves to explore her favorite city (Memphis!) on two wheels. When the weather is just not right for riding, she loves to sew and create gifts for her friends and family.

Memphis College of Art- BFA focusing in illustration and drawing; minor in art history.

Spends quiet weekends at home painting and drawing while her bunny runs around the house.

Selam Tesema

University of Tennessee- BS in Biochemistry and minor in Neuroscience; Candidate for Doctor of Medicine at University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center

She came to Memphis from Knoxville for school and has been loving it so far. She loves cooking and staying active. She's excited to run for the upcoming St. Jude Marathon.

Caroline Tomlinson

Harding University- B.S. Mathematics, minor in Bible; Freed Hardeman University- M.Ed. Education

Enjoys the outdoors, knitting, sports, gardening (flowers are her passion), reading, photography, cooking, sewing, quilting, traveling, and spending time with her five children, loving husband, and her many friends.

DeAnna Wallace

Harding University- BA in Spanish, English; Currently pursuing MA in Spanish at the University of Memphis

She has traveled to Peru, Macchu Picchu, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Prague, and Czech Republic. She used to play the tuba and alto saxophone.

LaDayne Williamson

Huntingdon College- BA in Psychology and Sociology; Judson University- Elementary Education

Being raised in the South, she spends her Sundays worshipping the Lord and Saturdays watching college football. Whenever football is over, she loves to read and pretend to quilt. Roll Tide and Hail State!

Laura Williamson

University of Alabama- BA in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education

She loves football, both college and pro. Her favorite team is the Alabama Crimson Tide! Roll Tide!

She loves to travel. She's studied in Spain and Nicaragua. She's also traveled to six countries and counting!
